One-of-a-kind, a genuine piece of art! This ring features one old mine cut diamond foiled-close-back set in pinched silver collet, framed by 8 smaller same cut diamonds set in the same way, adorned with finest granulation work on the borders, mounted over 19.2k yellow gold (800/1000 gold fineness) with a scalloped outline which gives the ring a very soft look. The two shoulders are heavily decorated with refined ancient motifs created by chasing, engraving and granulating. Very detailed! The goldsmith who made this ring must be a master! Weight hefty 10.15g, top quality. One of the best founds! Extremely rare!
All the diamonds are original and firmly set, in excellent condition. The diamonds set in this ring are not big. However, for a ring like this, its real value is beyond the intrinsic value of those diamonds and the precious metal. The ring is in pristine condition, no sign of repair or restoration, never resized in the past. For an aged ring like this, in such a great condition, it's a miracle. A dreamy piece for all antique jewelry collectors!
