Rare and collectible genuine antique Victorian cluster twin-heart old cut diamond 18k gold ring circa 1800's in excellent condition with minor sign of wear-R1249
Releasing it from my personal collection, this ring is one of my most cherished antique jewelry pieces. The design of the ring head is elegantly simple, featuring two intertwined hearts. Each heart is centered with an old cut diamond surrounded by multiple mixed old mine and old European cut diamonds, mounted over a simple and classic half-rounded band.
The twin-heart motif symbolizes romantic love, affection, or a close bond between two individuals, such as lovers, a mother and child, siblings, or friends. The Victorian era is often associated with the peak of romantic and sentimental jewelry, including twin heart designs. Compared to most twin-heart rings created during the same period, this ring's design is simpler (the majority of Victorian twin-heart rings have a crown or bow motif on top of the twin-heart) and exclusively set with diamonds, making the ring even rarer and more suitable for modern wear today. It truly is an authentic antique heirloom ring for contemporary life – a remarkable discovery!
All the diamonds are original and securely set. While they may not be particularly large, each one possesses a charmingly chunky profile and lovely culet, making each diamond truly unique. Apart from a very faint sign of resizing at the bottom of the shank, the rest of the ring remains in impeccable condition, showing no evidence of restoration or repair. This level of preservation is exceptionally rare for a ring of such age.
